Michael C. Petersen
Mike became associated with the firm in September 1996 after spending two years at the Oregon Court of Appeals as a law clerk to Judge Rick T. Haselton and Judge Mary J. Deits. His practice consists primarily of litigation and appeals related to employment law, business disputes, creditors rights and real property.
Mike grew up in Montana. He received his B.A. from Carroll College in Helena, graduating magna cum laude in 1991. He received his law degree from Willamette University College of Law in 1994, graduating third in his class. While in law school Mike clerked for the firm and served as an associate editor of the Willamette Law Review.
Mike is involved with several community organizations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Family Building Blocks and the Marion County Bar Association. He is also a past board president for the Humane Society of the Willamette Valley and Marion Polk Legal Aid Services. Mike and his wife, Carol, spend most of their leisure time outdoors, downhill skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer with their dogs.
