Donald H.
Upjohn
Don grew up in Salem. He graduated from
Harvard College in 1964. After service in Korea for the Army,
he enrolled at Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California
in Berkeley, where he received his J.D. in 1970.
From 1970 to 1971 Don served as law clerk
to the late Justice Arno Denecke on the Oregon Supreme Court.
In 1971 and 1972 he was a Special Assistant to the U.S. Attorney,
District of Oregon. He has been in practice with the firm since
1973.
Don has a general business practice, including
corporate work, real property transactions and related litigation.
He also does a good deal of probate and estate planning. He is
a member of the Business Law Section and the Real Estate & Land
Use Section of the Oregon State Bar.
He is a member and has served on the board
of the Marion County Historical Society. He is married to Sheila
Cassidy Upjohn. She is a former secondary school teacher who has
taught in a number of communities in the Willamette Valley. She
also has her R.N. degree from Walla Walla College at the Adventist
Hospital in Portland and is currently obtaining a degree as a
Nurse Practitioner at New York University.
